I am Neil Martin, an evolutionary astrologer and astrological guide. My journey has not been a straight line. Like most meaningful journeys, it has unfolded in stages: a world of duty and service, a testing ground of leadership and endurance, and, sometimes quietly, sometimes with unmistakable force; the call of spirit. Mystic Warrior Astrology is the meeting point of those two worlds.
A life of structure, before a life of soul
I come from a background that has required responsibility, discipline and endurance. Those experiences shaped me profoundly and then life brought deeper questions. Achievement alone is not enough. Efficiency is not the same as meaning. Competence is not the same as fulfilment.
A world of structure & service
The first ground: duty, order and the willingness to serve something larger than oneself.
The testing ground
Leadership, endurance and responsibility, learning to hold a steady course through complexity and pressure.

Years in the Royal Air Force, then decades in project and consultancy work, where precision, reliability and delivery mattered deeply.
The call of spirit
Another call entirely; symbolism, healing and the deeper patterns that shape a life. Astrology became a language for it.

Reflective, grounded and structured
I have approached evolutionary astrology in the same way I have approached the most important things in my life: seriously, respectfully, and with the intention of mastering it over time. I am interested in depth, truth, precision and transformation.
At the heart of everything is a single principle: understanding, never prediction. I do not read charts to foretell events or hand you a fixed future. Your birth chart is a map of meaning — of your temperament, your patterns, your gifts and your growth edges — and a reading helps you meet your life with more understanding and more agency.
You are the author of your life, not its audience. A chart may describe strong tendencies, but a tendency is not a fate. My work is to make those patterns visible so you can work with them consciously — honestly and empoweringly, never flattery or diagnosis from a distance.
I keep the spiritual practical and the practical soul-aware, beginning from first principles and building depth so you genuinely understand the territory of your own chart. It is a symbolic, soul-centred approach that asks why you are here, what you are learning, and how you might move toward greater wholeness.
The teachers who refined the path
Steven Forrest has been the single most important influence on my approach, not only through his teaching of Evolutionary Astrology, but the spirit in which he teaches it: psychologically aware, spiritually grounded, and always respectful of the soul’s unfolding. I am proud to be a member of his FCEA Master Astrologer Degree Programme from which I hope to graduate in November 2026
