If you have never sat with an astrologer before, it is natural to wonder what you are actually walking into. Will you be told your future? Handed a list of predictions? Asked to simply believe? An evolutionary astrology reading is none of those things — and knowing what to expect tends to make the whole experience richer. Here is exactly what happens, from first contact to the days after we close.
Before we meet
Everything begins with your birth details: the date, place and, ideally, the time you were born. From these I calculate your chart by hand and study it carefully in advance. I am not looking for predictions — I am reading the shape of a life: the patterns you carry, the tensions you were born into, and the direction your soul seems to be reaching. You will also be invited to share, in your own words, what is stirring in your life right now. That context lets me meet you where you actually are, rather than delivering a generic portrait.
If your birth time is unknown or uncertain, don’t worry — there is a way to recover it, and we can talk about that first.
The reading itself
A reading is a live conversation, usually around ninety minutes, and it is recorded so you never have to scramble to take notes. We begin from first principles — I will never bury you in jargon — and build depth gradually, so that by the end you genuinely understand the territory of your own chart. It is unhurried and dialogic. You are not a passive recipient; the most powerful moments almost always come when something I describe meets something you already knew but had never quite put into words.
What we actually explore
Evolutionary astrology reads the birth chart as a map of the soul’s growth. So rather than “what will happen to me?”, we ask better questions. We look at the lunar nodes — the south node describing the familiar ground you came in carrying, the north node the direction you are being invited to grow. We look at Pluto, at the patterns you have repeated, at where life has asked the most of you. We name your gifts as clearly as your growth edges. Woven through it all are your Soul Crossroads — the real turning points of your life — read in conversation with the chart.
What you leave with
You keep the recording, and for a natal chart reading you also receive a written summary, so the work keeps unfolding long after we speak. But the real thing you leave with is harder to put on paper: language for what you have always sensed but never fully trusted, and a clearer, kinder sense of the work of your particular lifetime. Many people describe it as feeling understood in their complexity for the first time.
What a reading is not
It is worth being clear. This is not fortune-telling. The chart describes intention, not fate; your free will remains the deciding factor in everything we explore. It is not a horoscope written for a whole sun sign at once — it works only from your unique chart. And it is not therapy or medical advice, though it often sits gently alongside that work. What it offers is understanding: a mirror, and a map.
If that is the kind of conversation you have been looking for, you can explore the readings on offer whenever you feel ready. There is no obligation — only an honest look at your own life, read with care.
